See you later, Alligator!

I have to tell you about this book, "See You Later, Alligator" by Annie Kubler. Mia LOVES this book, and I read it to her at least twice a day for nap and bed time. I personally love it, it's short so it not a dread to have to reread over again. And if you notice the mouth is a puppet, I just use my index and middle finger to make him talk. Mia loves the Crocodile and I personalize his "bath time" with some comments about "splashy splashy, kicky, kicky" or when Crocodile is to busy and wants to paint, I am sure to refer to going to the "art room" he also eats his "oatmeal, and drinks from his cup.
It's a fun book to animate and make Mia enjoy reading as much as I do. And with just the two characters, Alligator and Crocodile, it's easy to make up a voice for each one. This has helped make sleep time much more enjoyable for both of us. (thanks to my neighbor Jill for this gift)
I want my kids to love reading. I always say it takes you to another place. No matter your day or what is around you. Find a good book, and just get lost in it's world. And don't tell me you don't have the time. You make the time.
So I tag you my readers, leave me a comment and tell me what you favorite book is, or what you are reading right now. I don't care if it's Dr. Seuss (one of my favorites!) If you don't have a favorite check out my Shelfari over on the right, below the blogroll. Check out my favorites!
And go bury yourself in a good book!

Lurkers

Hello.

You just might be a lurker if...

  • You check a blog, on and off all day, never commenting... just reading.
  • You read a blog, and talk about it or gossip about it later (tisk tisk not nice)

Things to do if you are a lurker...

  • Read away! That is what my blog and other blogs are here for. But COMMENT please.
  • We thrive on comments, it makes us feel like blogging isn't all just talking to ourselves through the keyboard.
  • Commenting is NOT hard. At the bottom of each post you will see a link you can click on to leave a comment. You don't need to join, even though you should, just leave a message. If it's something I don't like, I can and will delete it. But I do enjoy your opinion.
  • You should get a blog of your own. Blogger is free and fun. Like therapy, and again who doesn't love free therapy?
  • Didn't you always want to keep up a diary or journal? Or scrapbook? Well here it is! All in one, and they also store all the pictures I upload fo free! How nice!!

This little disclaimer notice is because I just recently sent out an email to family and friends, thinking I was sending a link to the kids sites at Babababies and it was to old posts from last year. So I just want to let the lurkers know it's ok to lurk, but maybe just a comment or two? How about an email letting me know you are a lurker and you read my site. If anything just realize my mom does read my site and my sisters. So you don't have one up on us or her by discussing it with her. Also it's not nice to laugh and joke about blogs, and there subjects, and you don't leave comments.

We bloggers live in a Blogosphere, where we work nicely together. We leave comments, and props to each other. So don't abuse our happy world. Join in and enjoy...
