More on Rosalita from The Goonies

In the original version of this film, the woman hired by Mikey's mother is a Hispanic named Rosalita (Lupe Ontiveros), and Mouth helps Mrs. Walsh by translating her commands into Spanish (of course, in Mouth's "odd" way). In the Spanish version of this film, the character is changed from Hispanic to Italian, and her name from "Rosalita" to "Rossanna".

Here is a little info for ya. I love The Goonies and Blogging on it has made me go off on this Goonie hunt online...I must go to bed, but I will continue again...

Mouth Translation to Rosalita from Mrs. Walsh. The Goonies

Mrs Walsh - Pants and shirts are in the second. Jus..just throw them all into cardboard boxes. Forget the suitcases. (To Mouth) Clarke, can you translate that?

Mouth translation - Marijuana goes in the top drawer. Cocaine and Speed in the second, the Heroin in the bottom. Always separate the drugs.

Mrs. Walsh - Now Rosalita, this is the attic. Mr. Walsh doesn't like anybody up here, ever.

Mouth translation - Never go up there. It's filled with Mr. Walsh's Sexual Torture Devices.

Mrs Walsh - This is my supply closet. You'll find everything you need: brooms, dustpans, insect spray... I would really like the house clean when they tear it down. Clarke, can you translate?

Mouth translation - If you do a bad job you'll be locked in here with the cockroaches for two weeks without food or water.

The answer for you...

Sara you do get the answer right, but your bonus info was incorrect.
The Cocaine goes in the second drawer. Don't you know?

DBS cont.

Here is mom and dad (me not pictured) waiting, waiting and waiting some more, for the pager to go off. So we could hear how Susie was doing... here we spent 16 crazy hours, waiting...

Here is the view from our Hotel, pretty Chicago Skyline, I never get sick of it!

Here are the doctors (not pictured is Dr. Bakay, THE brain surgen himself) (Left to right) Tracy Dr. Assistant, Dr. Vorhegan, he had the job of brain map reader. Dr. Goldman, she was not in on the surgery, she was Susie's botox Doctor (that is what we tried before surgery) and the two other Dr.'s were in on the surgery too.
We had an amazing team of Doctors and it was a very long recovery, mom had to feed her for about 3 weeks after the surgery's. But Susie is strong, that was in January of 2005. Now April of 2007, we are still going to Rush every few months for them to adjust to current on the generators, in hopes that she see's some releif...someday...

DBS

Pictured on the left is the Genarator (like a pacemaker) that Susie has on each side of her chest that is wired to the leads in her brain...
And here is a picture of how Susie is wired...

These pictures were taken about 2 weeks after Susie's original DBS Surgery. (Deep Brain Stimulation) You can see the staples (I think we counted 43 total) in the top of her head and on each side. On her forehead and in the back she also had little marks, because to hold her head still she had to wear a halo.

Brave. Brave is this girl right here. She was numbed but had to be kept awake for the 16 hour surgery, so they could test her, to see if she could still see. (they could have caused blindness durring the surgery) I was trying to find the pictures...but my dad and Ed both shaved there heads so they could look cool like Susie.

Funny!

This picture is so funny! At a quick glance you only see Susie with some crazy ass arms. Yeah, she was sitting on my lap and those are my arms!! This is why my sister is the best sister, we can always screw around, giggle and be funny!!

This picture was taken a month after she had 16 hour brain surgery, in all hopes to help her Dystonia. (Hence the shaved head) Of coarse she was a Rock Star and did great.

I am so proud of my sister. She is so much stronger than most people think. Even herself.

Rosalita!

Here is a picture of my rarely seen Southern Illinois Box Turtle, Rosalita! I found her and kidnapped her from my Aunt and Uncles property down in DuQuoin Illinois. She is awesome, way more orange then this picture shows! I named her Rosalita after the Goonies. Trivia for you...who was Rosalita? Leave me the answer in my comments!

Daddy dressed me!

Hee Hee! This was taken the day of the Super Bowl (notice all the Bears attire) Daddy was trying to dress me!! I look like a unicorn!!

Here are my 3 favorite Britney Videos...

Someday (I will understand) I love this song, I would sing this to Mia when I was pregnant with her.

Do Something. I love this one to, it's very fiesty and very fun!!

Here is the mega mix! To hot!! Don't hate!

I love me

I don't find this to be selfish at all. I think that this is very important to everyone. You should always love yourself first. I love my personality, my sense of humor, my great sense of direction, my love for art and animals. I love my life, my family and my friends.
I am funny, sarcastic, empathetic, sassy, ridiculously silly, honest, friendly, emotional, and best of all me.
I will not, do not and have not changed myself to fit in with others. Why change something that I love so much? Not that I am self absorbed or anything, I know I am short, could still lose about 20lbs, and maybe sassy isn't always a good thing. But I have learned that if I spend my life stressing about stupid shit then I will just waste my time. Since I can't grow, love food, and I like to sass, so be it! It's me!
In the words of Lady Soverign "Love me or hate me, it's still an obsession, love me or hate me, that is the question. If you love me then Thank you! If you hate me then fuck you!

Grass!

Mia is learning about grass. We were at Gigi and Papa so we all sat out in the grass to check out this new thing called grass. Mia was very afraid of the grass at first, so Gigi tore up a bunch of grass and sprinkled it onto Mia's legs. After about 20 minutes of playing in the grass, she was eating it and enjoying the sunshine!

Roar!!

Hear me Roar!! This is something Ed came up with. One day I was super crabby. So he was in his instigating mood, he said "Your a Crabasaurus! Roar" So now when someone is crabby, we just say "Roar!" It's kinda like Back-the-fuck-off-or-I-will-eat-you-for-lunch kinda warning.

Monkey

Nothing of intrest to say right now. So I will give you a dancing Monkey!

Bestest friends!

Here is me and miss Jenalyn. This is my bestest girl friend. We call and talk for hours. Hang up and call right back because we forgot to talk about something. 2 hour later we are still on the phone, and we are getting together later to hang out and talk some more.

I really rely on the fact that I can call Jen whenever, we are there for each other and each others family. I truely see her as a sister to me. (Can we make room for her Susz?) She has been there thru alot with me and I the same for her.

Over the past 8 years here are just a few things I have to say...
Empress, Diamond level, grave yard, staplers, meeting Ed.
Man drama, breaking and entering, first time for everything!
Condo, how often did you stay over? drinking and playstation, the tampon and Ed's nose, the Christmas Apron (haha)
Bridesmaid, Bachlorette party and thongs on the patio! Bobbing for kiwi's. That kissing noise that Susie & I had no idea what you were talking about.
Starved Rock! Taking out on a tree with a stick. 3 amegos in a tent. Afraid of the dark, speed walking, all alone with the goth kids...Crazy rock climbs!
New house! Water fights! House warming party!
Stampin' Up classes, my downline!! How many trips have we been on?
Way to many details about being pregnant, callin you at 2:30 am to tell you I had her!! You coming up to the hospital that day to see her!
Now titled Aunt Jen, Being there for me when my Gramma died. Me there for you when your Aunt died.
Long serious talks. Much needed long serious talks.
Realizing thru 8 years we have seen and been thru alot. and to think this great adventure of ours has just begun!!

Can't wait to see what adventure we do next!!

Much love Jenalyn. Thanks.
Gack

Mi and her new placemat

So this is Mia and her awesome new placemat mommy bought her. They just have sticky peal behind them so she can't move them, and they are fun Sesame Street ones to keep her busy!!
So big! Eating her strawberry apple puff snacks!!

Mommy & Mi

Here is Mia and me at Hometown Hotdogs in Chanooka! (FYI in between Minooka and Channahon) We went with Jenalyn. This is a fun tradition we have started before any stamping is done we need our weenies!!

Sick

I am sick. I have a cold. I cough. I sneeze. My head hurts. My neck hurts. Boo hoo. I am still wondermom, get up with the baby, deal with barking dogs, and get Ed ready for work. Dant dant da da!! Let me get my cape!!

For all mom's or mom's to be.

If you want to feel less guilt about your crazy day as a mom. (or mom to be) just visit the site Truemomconfessions (see orange link in sidebar)

This site is amazing. You post whatever you want. No names, no passwords, no email. They don't know me, I don't know them. Perfect.

They confess to everything, from eating there kids candy to doing meth to avoid there kids.
Either way it's therapeutic all the way!! I feel better about confessing. I feel better about reading the other psycho mom's and there loony world.

NOW it gets better. We (we mom's) have a forum for the site. I guess it got the best of them and now we get to talk about the confessions. YES!! I get to read gossip and the talk about it!
ROCK STAR!!

They still don't know who posted what confession, so confess away, I love to read them and love to talk about them. Sleep is so over rated!!

Laundry update

So yesterday, I decited that instead of putting away all of the clean clothes, I would go thru our bedroom and sort thru the mountians of clothes in there. Ugg. It is so wierd being able to actually walk around my bed, and not have to climb a pile of clothes to get there!

I thought (scary) I was almost done with laundry. Yeah, no. We seriously neglect that room, because it's always dark, Ed sleeps in there most of the day. I counted about 7 loads of laundry. No lie. Not counting the load I have down there and oh yeah, 2 loads from the bathroom laundry basket, there is about 2-3 loads of towls to wash too. Hmm quick math and it looks like about 13 loads of laundry. Do we wonder why I have 6 baskets to fold?

Anyway, so bedroom is clean, I only got that done yesterday because we had to go to Aunt Donna's suprise party. Which was so fun!! We didn't get home until 11:00 pm. So we slept (Mia too!) until 8:30 am today!! Holy sleep in batman!

So today I fed Mia, gave her a bath in the kitchen sink, while I loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen. She just went down for her morning nap. I am going to clean house like a demon today, and possibly go out to my parents later (maybe bring the dogs out too!)
(I should probably work on those 32 6x6 scrapbook pages for Monday nights meeting too...)

So have a great Sunday. I have work to do!!

Unmotivated

I am so unmotivated to do anything today. I am sluggish, PMSing, crabby and lethargic. I don't care what I do today, I just don't want to do anything.

Unfortunatly that is not the case today. It is 10:23 am, and I told Ed I would put away laundry (see I Loath Laundry post) I still have 6 baskets to hang or fold. Whatever, I wish we could just all wear recyclable clothes and throw them out every time.

I also have a Stampin' Up! meeting with my stamping friends Monday (Yeah!) so I have to make 16 two page 6x6 layouts (themed with the month of July in mind) for Monday.
Yeah I still have to even come up with an idea for that, and make them all.

Oh and I have to get myself and Mia ready for Ed's Aunt Donna's suprise birthday party, we don't have to be there (Palos Hills) until 6:00 pm, but living in Channahon that means we need to get started getting ready around 3:30 pm, to leave by 4:30 pm to get there by 6:00 pm.

So I have about 5 hours, good news is Mia just went down for a nap, Ed is off to work already, and the dogs are asleep on the couch. So I guess I should go fold clothes (shudder, gag, wince, pout, cry, sob, weeep, pout more, shudder, shudder)

FINE, I will go fold stupid fucking clothes. It's probably easier to get everyone ready if I could find everything, without digging thru so many baskets. (Even though I kinda know what is in what basket by now...)

Have a nice day I will be a slave to the evil Laundry. What a crappy day to be unmotivated.

The fight

At 6:00 am every morning, I have this fight. Within myself I argue everymorning while my daughter is yelling out to me that she is bored and wants out of her crib.

The arguement that many of us have, it is the body v.s. mind. This is there dialoge...

Mind: Get up, the baby needs you.

Body: Piss off, she is just fussy, maybe she will go back to sleep...zzzzz

Mind: Seriously. You need to get up.

Body: Zzzzzzzzz

Mind: GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!

Body: FUCK OFF! FUCK OFF! FUCK OFF!

Mind: GETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUPGETUP....

Body: FINE! I am awake.

So then I drag my tired mommy body out of bed, and after a good stretch and a face wash, I am wide awake, (thank god I am a morning person!) to go into Mia's room. Only to be greeted by the cutest smiley face ever, and wonder why I didn't get up sooner.

Back on the Boards again!

Yipie! I am officially back on my Huggies mom discussion board! wee! What fun! I missed them when I was away. (my log in didn't work) So I resigned back up. I know you could care less, but I will have to share myself between all of the other sites I maintain and my actual real life. Tata for now!

Pacific Ocean

Even though it was warm in Portland, it was so cold on Oregon Coast Highway 101. Ed, his cousin, Joe Cody and me took a scenic tour of our own, driving around Oregon. I found a beach out let and we walked so far to get to the water! Check out the picture of my feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time!
I can't wait to take Mia to Oregon!
(July 2005)

Brookfield Zoo

Here is a very fun picture of me and my sister Susie. We were at the Brookfield Zoo. This is our favorite place to go. Susie gets a Zoo membership every year. We love to go when it's colder out and no one is there. The Zoo is a very special place for us. We both love animals so much!!

The Sun will come out, tomorrow

Here is a picture of the sun beaming from behind the clouds, this picture was taken from my deck, in Channahon.

Over the Rainbow

Here is a cool picture of a double rainbow, out of my front door a few years ago. We get them often when it rains.

Go Cubs!

Today is the Chicago Cubs, home opener game. Mmm a breezy 45 degrees is suposed to be the high.

Be friendly to the program guy at the front gate. That is my father-in-law, Joe. Be extra nice to the beer vender working the stand closest to the fire house. That is my husband Ed. Tip them nice.

Yes Wrigley has officially begun. I am not excited. I am not a big fan of baseball. (Because it is boring 95% of the time, there is little or no contact, and there sometimes is no end to the games)
And unfortunatly this sport has the longest season. Thank God they work for the Cubs, and they suck and will be done as early as possible.

And if you ask me to pick a team. Go Cubs! Not because I like to aggravate every South Sider I know, but because my Gramma & Grampa Carugati watched the Cubs all summer long. So for them I chose the Cubs.

I can't wait for football to start. Go Michigan! Go Bears!

I Hate little postcard adds in magazines!!

There are some of the most minuscule things on this planet that just annoy the shit out of me.

I HATE magazine subscription cards. Why, if I am getting your magazine do I need 8 of these randomly littered throughout my magazine.
I HATE prescription cards. Send now and try our new medicine. Side effects may include... brain freeze, massive diahrea, blindness and numbness throughour your body. But it will cure your headache!
I HATE 20 easy payments of $19.95 for some creepy lifelike baby doll. What exactly do people do with these things?

Every time I read a magazine I will spend minutes going thru from front to back, I usually recheck two more times after. And I tear out each and every little postcard add. I also usually tear out the adds that are on thick paper. Ugh, this too is annoying. I guess if you pay more you get higher grade ad paper, so people flip right to it! Yeah so I can tear your shit out!

What a waste of trees.

Yes I feel better now.

Happy Easter!

Hello Blog readers,

Happy Easter to everyone! I hope you all are having as nice of a day with your families as I am.
We woke up at 7:30 a.m. and packed up and the three of us left for Gigi & Papa Carugati's house.

Ed went right up to sleep until we ate. Gigi, Papa, Mia and Jacki all sat and read the morning paper. Susie graced up with her presents at 11:00 a.m. Then we played with Mia, but then she went off for a nap.

Gigi and Gack went down into the basement (Craft Room!) and played around with the diecut machine and stamps. But not for long! Then it was time to set the table for dinner.

We woke up sleepy Ed and had a beautiful Ham dinner. My favorite part is decapitating the butter that is shaped like a lamb. (Kinda disturbing)

Aunt Susie helped me get Mia dressed up in her Easter dress, (I will post pictures later) Then Mia got to open her Easter Basket, lots of fun stuff! Pink baby Croc shoes, some summer clothes, bunny slippers, the cutest Wish Bear Care Bear puppet.

Ed and me got a Easter Basket too. We got lots of candy (bad for diet!!) I got a big sign that says "Create" Love it!! I think I will hang it over my door going into my Art room.

Now we are all vegitating in front of the TV, watching a Shirley Temple movie. Well my mom is watching, Ed, Mia and Papa are all sleeping.

Then we will pack up and go out to Diane and Joe's for desert and watch the Amazing Race! Then off to bed.

Happy Easter everyone!!

Don't you just hate that.

So I have this book called "Don't you just hate that" by Scott Cohen. It is 738 Annoying things.
I have decited that I am going to share some of my favorites with you. Not all at once though, just periodicly...whenever...

Don't you just hate that...

...you like the "woosh" sound made when someone swings a pool cue around in a menacing manner?
(I love doing this!)

...Knowing that you chose your abrasive friends.

...the taste of a fortune cookie.

Date Night

I went on a date with my sister, Susie and my daughter Mia last night. We went to the dollar theatre and saw "A night at the Museum" That was so funny!! If you love Jumangi, with Robin Williams, you will love this one! I actually like this one more.

I totally suggest it. I laughed my ass off. I think Susie and me laughed at each other and our entertainment almost as much as the movie itself. Trying to keep Mia from talking to the big screen was so funny! Then she's whipping toys at Innocent movie goers. Susie loses a juice lid in the isle. OMG, to funny.

Oh, then on the long ride home from Joliet Mall to Goose Lake (Morris) I look over and see Susie laughing at me. I had to ask. She said I was talking out loud to myself. (I do that a lot!) She found this funny. I was probably telling the ass wagon behind me what I thought of his driving. Susie told me she was glad she didn't drive.

What a night. Thanks for dinner Mom, and Susz thanks for a fun girls night out!!

PS~Go see (or rent at the end of April) the movie it was so funny!

I Loath Laundy

I loath, despise, and Hate Laundry. It is the most godawful chore ever. I would rather hand wash every dish in my house by hand twice before I do a load of laundry.

I always start my day out great, I'm gunna do laundry! I drag all our stupid clothes from the second floor bathroom all the fucking way down the stairs, down the hall, down the basement stairs, thru the construction zone (finishing half our basement) into the back part of the basement. (Because the ass nozzles who built the house thought it would be fun for me to drag my laundry clear across Channahon to do it)

Then I load the beast up, go upstairs...and 3 hours later I curse myself I totally forgot I was doing laundry. Also remember that when this basket of so fresh and clean clothes is finally done (3 hours a load at my rate) I now have to haul it back thru the basement, up the stairs, down the hall and up the stairs to the second floor.

Oh God now I have to fold it. (Barf in mouth) I think this is the most tedious part. I always find a good excuse (or none at all) to not fold and hang the stupid laundry. I go do another chore.

Ironing??!!?? Ha!! Right, I iron when I need it. Which unfortunatly is at least 7 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Ed wears dress clothes to both jobs. Which brings up the subject of constant laundry. That man of mine works so much that a lot of the time I go thru two outfits a day for him. (I can't blame him, 8 hours in an outfit, you want to shower and change) Oh don't even get me started on the 3rd job he starts Monday (he is insane) Wrigley Field. Yeah the ONE beer vender uniform he gets? I have to wash everytime he wears it. Thank god he won't be doing Wrigley Field that much.

So Mia and Me sit around naked so I only wash Ed's clothes. OK no one wants to see me naked, my usually work uniform is sweats, or pajama pants and a t-shirt. If I don't get it dirty it will last me almost 3 days!! (I have a housework outfit and a lounge outfit) Now if I am blessed with a day out with Ed (rare) then I will wear regular clothes.

Princess Mia. Thats all I should have to say, oh and 10 months old. I will make this one short. The kid goes thru a lot of clothes. a lot. And folding all of those little pants, and matching all those little socks, hanging all of those little sweaters and coats!!

Let's not even get started on the blankets I wash because of the dogs. It takes 4 to cover the couch. And there floor spots to lay on. That is always being washed! (I should wax them...)

Cats. Shed. A lot. There laundry is not so bad, just a few towels to cover furniture from massive fur build up.

So right now, I have a load in the wash, I will leave until tomorrow to deal with. A load in the dryer (just dog blankets) and 4 baskets in the cat room I need to fold or hang (shudder)
I just want a room that I can just leave clothes all over the floor and just pick them up as I need them. Oh yeah, that would be my side of the bed!

So I have come to the brilliant conclusion that my whole family is going to the spa (dogs and cats too) and we are going to get waxed from head to toe. Then we will go live in a nudist colony.

YEAH!! No more laundry!! YEAH!! Laundry blows!!YEAH!!

Not coming home...

I think I have been in denial. For 6 months my Gramma Alice went to Florida last year, with my Aunt Rita & Uncle Tom Molaschi. (They live there half the year) She came home in April and spent the summer getting to know Mia.

Aunt Rita and Uncle Tom are coming home from Florida soon. And Gramma is not coming back with them. I think my brain has come up with this idea that Gramma has been gone because she is in Florida and will be home in April.

It's April and I am trying to deal with the fact that my Gramma is not in Florida. She will not come home to see me, or Mia. She will not be at my parents house on the weekends. She will not be down the street at Kimmies. She is...gone...I know in a better place, but it is so hard when I see how big Mia is getting and how much I wish my Gramma could see how she has grown. My Gramma's face lite up so much when she would see Mia. I am glad she was able to see Mia at least until she was 6 months old. I will just have to tell Mi stories about her Gramma and her togther. (In that picture above, it was the Carugati Family reunion. That was taken 2 days before I was pregnant with Mia)

Mia still fits into some of the clothes Gramma bought her. I use the diaper bag she gave me everyday. I wear my gramma's rings everyday. I miss her everyday. I want her to come home from Florida everyday. I have to realize that is not happening everyday.

I miss you Gramma. I know your not coming home from Florida. I know that you are watching us all the time. You are one more angel up there for me.

I guess that being spoiled by having you every Birthday, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, 4th of July, and every weekend growing up. I just took advantage that you would always be there.

We miss you Gramma. I know dad is sad a lot too. He said you listened to him no matter what. I will do that with Mia, no matter what, Gramma. It will always be important. Thanks for my dad. You did an amazing job.

Love always and forever, your favorite granddaughter,

Brad Chinderle

An good friend of mine, Brad Chinderle, that I still see anually at the St. Mary's church picinic (him and his dad cook the lamb every year!) Has had something that no one our age wants to even think about.

Stephen Chinderle, Brad's dad, passed away on Saturday. Not sure how. Not important right now. I just know that a good friend of mine has lost one of his best friends. I have no idea how Brad is coping right now. I could not even imagine life with out my dad. Especially at the age of 26.

Brad is a very outgoing, funny and loving person. We went on many Youth Group Church trips in High School, and spent every Sunday night at Youth Group meetings. We even shared a cow costume in Kansas City!

I wish Brad the best in dealing with the cards he has been delt. I have no idea how to express to him how sorry I am tomorrow at the wake. If anyone is interested the wake is Tuesday (tomorrow) at Tezak Funeral Home from 3 - 8 pm. And the funeral mass is Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary Nativity. God Bless Brad and his family.

Pimp my Deck

These items above are my pimped out deck pieces thanks to my beautiful daughter and my tax lady (Sue rocks!) Ed and I decited that since after 11:00 am, sitting on my great Eon (faux deck material) is like being a french fry under the heat lamps. We should pimp our deck out so we can fully enjoy it. And thanks to mother nature for shattering our glass table in the wind storm last year. We needed to pimp our deck.
BUT, we will be sitting on the old chairs that go with the old table. I really want some loungy living room like furniture. Mind you it is $600 for the Loveseat, 2 chairs and Ottoman/table. I would love to have it but to spend that much...maybe we will shop around for something cheaper...
Anywho, hope to post pictures when we get it all up!

I'm rich bitch!

Or not. But our tax return was so great, I cried. No wonder there are so many people making babies! So we decited to be adults (gag) and put most of the money into Ed's IRA account. Sucks for now but in 28.5 years, we will have a nice nest egg for retirement, and we won't be working!!

The rest we opened a savings account, still have a bunch left (Wee!) and decited to pimp out our deck. (See deck blog)

Yeah Mia, thanks for the sweet ass return!

SU!

So I have now created a Stampin' Up! Blog site. I think it will be good for my customers to check it out often, see promo's or cute ideas.

So if you know of anyone who loves to Stamp or Scrapbook (even if they are out of town!) have them check me out @

Maggie May

This is such a cute picture of Maggie. Back when you could see her ribs (Before we had Sophie and she ate her food and Sophie's too) and we had carpet on our stairs (Before we had Sophie, that thought the stairs were her own personal wiz mat) But even with wooden stairs, Maggie still will lay across the one step (she barely fits) and rests her head on the hard oak. So cute!
