Guess who!
Can you guess this person? It was my mom's 50th surprise birthday party, themed Hawaiin. This person and I spent the week before making these fun masks from paper mache.
That was 5 years ago next month! It was an awesome fun night, thanks for making the party such a great success!

Happy Birthday from Ed.
I had no idea what Ed was giving me for my birthday. I was already elated with the awsome gift of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel on Michigan Ave. and the fact that I had a hot stone massage scheduled for that evening. But when we went across the street to Giordino's for some deep dish
pizza. Little did I know what was in my card...
Oh listen carefully, you will not hear Ed talk, he hates being recorded in anyway. So I have to narrate the whole time. This was honest to god, the most amazing and thoughtful suprise gift I have ever recieved. That day is engraved in my mind forever.
Thank you Ed.

Thank you
See this guy, his name is Ed. He is superfantabulous! He loves me. A lot. I keep trying to do a post on my birthday weekend in Chicago, but it will have to be separate blogs, for separate events. Too many pictures and to much to say!
So I will start off with a "Thank You" kiss that I gave Ed and snapped this picture in a cab. I can't begin to thank you for everything you have done for me. This proves even more how much you love me. You are so amazing, and I adore you, Edward.
Thank you.
(Readers, stay tuned for upcoming posts on the great events that surrounded the amazing weekend of turning 30!)

Construction Site
Construction is officially under way! Ha ha! my dad came over today for most of the day to start work in my Birthday Present to be art studio he is building me! Half our basement is finished and is a Media room for Ed and the dogs. The other half is laundry, Ed's weight bench and all my art supplies, but it's unfinished and a mess of eclectic furniture.
I designed for one wall to be cabinets with a counter on top, he is framing around the sump pump, and putting up drywall, and he is running electric for the back by my counter! Oh lovely 10 feet of counter top!!! I will be taking before and after pictures for sure!
Oh to have my house the way I want it! I can't wait!!

My first BIG Birthday Present
Holy cow. I just found out that for my Birthday my IL's are going to get us a pool.
Yes a pool. Not an inflatable one, or the $5.99 blue plastic ones, a pool pool. Once the Homeowners Association decides to grant us permission to get a permit, then we have to get a permit, then we have to call JULIE, THEN we can have them drop of 2 tons of sand, THEN they can install the pool. (And in the mean time I have to get a special twist plug outlet thingy, and possibly have someone run a new outlet outside)
Ed was hoping to have the pool up and installed while we are on my Birthday Trip, but Rome wasn't built in a day, so maybe I can swim around Christmas... either way we are crazy excited! I can't wait to see how popular we become now that we have a pool! (I think my sister might actually want to hang out here!) And Jen, I think we must go for a swim after we walk on Tuesdays!
Can't wait, I am just having to look into all the chemicals, and shocking, and cleaning, and responsibilities that go along with a pool. Oh and it's 52" deep by 15' around! As long as we can fit two rafts in it, one for me and one for Ed. Ahhhh....
