Need to know from Sara and the Goon Squad

Sarah over at Sara and the Goon Squad asked these questions, this is what I had to say...

1) Do I really need to get a Facebook page or is this just going to be like MySpace all over again?
Yes I have both a Facebook and a MySpace page. Facebook is a naked MySpace page. Same thing, just seems to be yuppier people there. MySpace has blinkies, widgets, and more crap to waste your time on. And Facebook is so bland I just feel asleep thinking about it.

I have both because I have blinkie widget friends, and yuppie bland friends too.

2) Are you coming to the BlogHer Reach Out Tour in DC?
Nope. But thanks for the invite.
3) How often do you buy new sheets for your bed? Also - how many sets of sheets do you think you own for your main bed?
I don't think I have ever bought sheets for our bed. All have been gifts from my mom. (thanks mom) I think we have 4 sets of sheets... and we just discussed decorating our bedroom for Christmas (no not in Christmas theme, but as our gift to ourselves) since it is still "primer white" and tan carpet. Old ass comforter. I think it would make it a nice retreat for us.

4) Are you watching
True Blood? Did anybody read the books?
No. No. I am reading "Odd Hours" by Dean Koontz. Anybody else?

5) Have you ever been arrested? If so, for what?
No but I was just telling Ed today, that if I were to get arrested I want a mug shot with my mohawk in it. I would also like to get arrested for kicking the current Gov. in the nuts. I would smile for that mug shot, and possibly a thumbs up too!

The home of my dreams.

I live there. You may be confused, no you didn't miss a post about me winning the lottery. Well maybe. I have won the husband lottery and now lucky me, I also won the perfect daughter and perfect son lottery.

So add to it, I love our home. I love the fact that there are now 3 floors of living space. Now that the basement is a t.v. room and the art room is finished. It is perfect. The garden is becoming what I want, and now I have all winter to create and come up with the layout for next years garden!

If I can just keep it clean. Enjoy the space I have. Make due with what I have got. And enjoy the life Ed and I have created. I have them home of my dreams.

It's not a mansion, and no I have no maid. I bust my ass all day cooking and cleaning. And I stay up late to blog or scrapbook. Ed works 2 sometimes 3 jobs, to keep the roof over our heads. But with all that we do, I learn to appreciate it, and I love it. Love the life, the home, the way we are and the home we come to every day. I love what it is that makes our life tick.

It's what you do. If you love the life you have and enjoy it. Then you make every thing you do worthwhile. Enjoy the home, apartment, loft, bed, whatever it is you have. Weather it's one room, a home or maybe two. Make it yours. And rock it.

That is what my life is. Rocking out what I've got.

Maniac Monday

If you were to name the one thing you have the most compassion for, what would it be?
Animals. I feel for all animals. Even the ones that lash out at people, usually it's because some dumb ass provoked the animal, or is in there territory. That is who my heart goes out to, if I had money to donate. Animal Shelters, would be it. I would even like to have one of my own if I had the money.

It's been said that, "The best things in life are free." Do you think this is true?
Money does make things a little easier. Not saying that money makes you happier. But it sure would make things go a little less stressful.

What is the most valuable thing you own?
My house. All the work my dad and us have put into it, has made it even more valuable. It's not a big fancy pants house. But we are pretty proud of it. It's where we call home.

Sit on me!

Picture this love seat/Siamese recliner times two in my newly updated media room. We finally threw away the 30+ year old couch and two broken recliners, and got these. So there is seating for four, or for now there is seating for 2 adults and two boxers.

They were delivered last weekend. And we LOVE them! Mmmm, those say sit-on-me-and-watch-movies-with-your-family all over them!
