Are you cool?

I am a thieve on this early Thursday morning, over at Sunshine and Lemonade, she wanted to know...
So, what about you? Are you the cool mom? Or do you thank your lucky stars that your kids have a cool mom to hang out with? Have you met any of the friends that live inside your computer?

I don't have a ton of mom friends, the ones I do have, all have little people younger then two. So in a few years I think I will find more friends with kids. I have to say I am probably the cool mom. Ha take that Lauren Stal*y. I am cool to someone...

Not trying to brag, but if doing crafts, playing, eating mac and cheese is what makes me cool. Then I am the coolest mom there is. I am still getting to know different people online. Some of these mom's though I SWEAR we are soul mates. The one blogger mom I loves best, is a dear friend I mention often over at Maternal Mirth. 25 years of friendship is great, and the fact that she is the reason I blog, even better.

Whistle while you work

A blog that I follow, Half Passed Kissing Time posted about her job, and at the end. Asked this question.

What have you learned from your job?

So I chose to answer it.

I have had so many jobs, I have been a Kennel cleaner, a table busser, a prep kitchen cook. An Administrative Assistant, a casino cashier (twice) a Casino slot auditor (worst job on the planet) a cashier at KMart, and a Personal Banker. I did telemarketing (For insurance co. ugg, that lasted all of 3 days) a Floral clerk at Jewel foods, a bagger too.

From all those jobs. 98% working with the public. I have learned so much about people. I have always been observant, my mother complimented me on it often. I love to watch and learn people. Some I like, some I make not of, never be that way.

I learned that patience is a virtue that we all need to work on when someone is waiting on you. I try my best to be as nice as I can to a cashier, or drive thru. It's a hard job, and it's not the job. It's the people. And those people I am talking about are the not-nice-I-want-it-all-5-minutes-ago-I-don't-care-if-I-ordered-it-wrong-or-that-I-am-running-late. They always take it out on the person waiting on them. Those are the people that live in there little office, and are bitter and angry. Get out of your cube, get some sun, possibly some coffee, and perk up, and slow down.

Now onto the job at hand. The job that I love the best, and get elzippo for pay. But as all of us mom's say, SAH or not. You couldn't pay me the worth of the moments I get with my children. The looks, the hugs, the kisses. I have learned so much already in just the two short years I have been doing this job.

I have learned that I need to take time, to lay in the grass, sniff ALL the flowers, go for walks, play with bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. Take the time to sing songs, and color in a coloring book. I have learned that even if the dogs are barking and Mi is yelling, yet again for me. That Alex is enjoying my time more and more. So taking 20 minutes to hang out and play with my boy is so worth it.

I love every second of being home. I can wait to go back to the working world. I don't miss it. But when both little people are in school. I will be back to working. I have my job, hopefully lined up. Working concerts with my FIL, being a little blonde, I can rake in some decent money being a vendor. Until my debut with the drunkin' concert going public. I will continue to make each day more special then the last.

Swimmy pool

I am getting the above installed in my back yard as I type this. I am now realizing that I am getting more random advice on a pool then I have gotten on raising children.

I do appreciate all your help, and all the suggestions, and random loooong pool horror stories but I think I would rather have kid raising advice.

I am also frustrated because this is a topic that I know little or nothing about, so it's mostly gibberish to me, maybe that is why all the advice is annoying. Because I don't even get a simple filter conversation.

So in my spare time, from taking care a toddler, a newborn, my two retarded dogs, my every so crafty cats, uploading and cropping pictures for friends, family and for upcoming crop dates, yard and house maintenance, and wanting desperately to paint and organize my art studio in progress. I will be attempting to "dogpile" search all forms of information on pools.

Until then I will need to keep myself in check and get some tanning lotion, so I can chill by the pool. (see below picture of me by a pool!)

Maniac Monday!

You too can play along! Just go to Maniac Monday's site and be sure to leave your URL so you can have fun visitors!

What do you do when you are feeling very sad or depressed?
I cry alot. I DON'T blog at all. I like to sleep.

Who was your first crush?
Ha! Do my SMNS girls remember this one? I think it was kinda creepy how obsessive I was... Tony Semrov!

If given a chance to skip work for a day (without repercussions), how would you spend the entire day?
If it was a job job, not my SAHM job. I would love to have a day of just scrapbooking, or doing some sort of art, ALL.BY.MYSELF.

Otherwise probably a day with JUST Ed. Love the kids but I NEVER get time with Ed. Eva!
