New routine

  • Get up. Setting alarm for 8am.
  • Shower. Brush teeth. Do hair and some light makeup.
  • If no one is up yet, go make coffee, bottle, and sippy.
  • Let dogs outside, throw in laundry. Carry up whatever is in the dryer
  • Get Mia up, change into day/play clothes.
  • Take Mia into bathroom, brush teeth and hair.
  • Feed the cats.
  • Bring Mia and myself downstairs. Alex too if he is up (yes he sleeps in. Bless that little man)
  • Get Mia in her chair, make breakfast for Mia
  • Feed the dogs.
  • Make myself eat breakfast.
  • If Alex graces us with his presence feed him too.
  • If Alex sleeps through, feed Mia, feed yourself,
  • Mia goes to the front room to play (coolest, thing about the layout of our house, the front room is right across from the loft where the computer is, so I can feed Alex, and watch Mia at the same time!)
  • I go wake and feed Alex. (while checking email, and one handed commenting).
  • Drink coffee.
  • After Alex eats, burp him, and give him play time on his mat.
  • Run down to the basement, rotate laundry. Pet the dogs.

The rest of the day is pretty much up for grabs. Depending on what we are doing, if we are staying home, I usually just putz around the house, cleaning, picking up behind everyone (mostly it's myself!)

Oh and in between the busy morning schedule, is letting the dogs in and out, and if Ed has to work at the Video store, or Wrigley I am getting him ready for work too. (includes making him coffee, juice, and a yummy veggie omelet to go!)

Then around noon I feed Mia lunch, and around1:30 or 2 ish, Mia goes down for her nap until about 4:30 pm, lots of time Alex is up then, I get to play with him, and eat lunch myself.

When Mia get's up it's dinner time, play time, bath time, and the bed time. Alex is usually right behind her and by 8 pm the house is quiet and I make myself dinner (I know, shame on me for eating so late) then get Ed's dinner made for his night shift. After Ed goes, then I space out, blog, and watch t.v.

Get up and repeat...

Thursday 13

(who dosen't love a picture of someone's kid screaming in the back seat? Huh? As long as it's not yours right?)

Thursday's Thirteen

Thirteen things to do today! (not so much in this order though)

  1. Watch Survivor! Wee!

  2. Watch Grey's! Wee!

  3. Change Mia's poopy butt

  4. Do the dishes, on the counter, in BOTH sides of the sink, on the table, on the computer desk, in the art room... get the point?

  5. Do some laundry! Yikes out of underware again!!

  6. Pay bills (gag, grr, blah.)

  7. Open the gates for the yard guys to spray.

  8. Decorate for Halloween (once the sun is in the back of the house)

  9. Clean the bathroom upstairs

  10. Sweep the loft and stairs (ya know, the cat hair tumble weeds, that you see rolling down the stairs)

  11. Figure out why Weaky isn't taking his nap...

  12. Eat something before this coffee buzz turns to the jitters, then the crazy short tempered mom...

  13. Keep watch on my blogs, I only have a few left until my 1000th post!!

Motivated = progress

On all different sorts of levels, I am motivated, and so it is in result, I have made progress. No matter how small, or insignificant the progress is. The big thing for me is the motivation is there.

Diane and Joe watched the kids yesterday = I was able to prep for Stamp Camp, clean the art room, and hang out with Ed. We had a huge beer can chicken on the grill with stuffing and grilled veggies.

Diane and Joe still have the kids today = We woke up, went to breakfast, the bank, dropped off Stampin' Up! catalogs to Tammy and Annette, got gas for the truck ($59 GAH!!)

Dropped off and I, let me repeat, Ed sat in the truck while I got to go in and answer ALL the questions about the kids, us, our Religious upbringings, the "godparents" oh they look of sheer terror when I told her about the "Jewish" godparents... after enjoying the look and confused head turn, I quickly told her that my "Catholic" sister was going to be a third godparent over both children. (because Alex's godparents, Nikki and Loren aren't Catholic or Christian either)
That was fun, happy I did it. Clear your calendars the Baptism will be either the Sunday before or after Turkey Day.

Dropped Ed off at home, so he could devote his love and attention to all the dog shit out back. I ran to the grocery store, getting lost in the Halloween isle (LOVE IT!) Didn't get much, just some of those cool window clings that look like blood streaming down.

Came home, mowed the front lawn, Ed finished while I edged, trimmed and blew away all the grass. Ed went in to lay down (before going to work, then to work, then to work...) I hosed down all the webs and mess from the front of the house and garage. Looks pretty! Moved the bird feeder, filled it. Dumped the water garden, moved what was left inside for the winter. So now the front of the house is prepped for decorating. (I SO badly wanted to do it today, but I still have to shower, iron Ed's clothes, and go get the monkey children from the IL's)

I will save that for another day. After Ed goes to work, and I bring home the tots, I will bathe, feed and off to bed with them. Then I will go back down to the art room to clean and finish prepping for class.

Possibly some dishes to be done, but don't hold your breath, and don't even ask about the laundry. It's a small joke, I should probably eat... maybe Taco Bell on the way there. Speaking of, I got a cool email from Spark People website, about working out in the morning. Sounds insane but I think I can do it. I am fat, tired, SO out of shape, and 25 lbs is needed to be gone from my body! Could you imagine if I actually did it? Well at least there's motivation there, right?

Well I must take my sweaty ass to the shower, and go get my tator tot children. Oh and the main reason I got so much done? My Comcast connection was down last night and this morning. So I decided to stay away from here. Hmmm, amazing the things I could get done if I would just walk away...

Bunch of this and that

It's 2:24 both kids are FINALLY down for both of there first naps of the day. 7 hours since we all got up. I am zonked, but hoping to get something done now that the little ones are attempting sleep!

A mess of a house, I would like to have presentable for Ed when he gets home later. He is at the above pictured place. Selling beer at his bar there. This is his last set of games, Cubs against the Cardinals, then whenever the playoff games start.
I am also sweating my ass off because I refuse to turn the air on. This weather is a pain, 87 during the day, and 57 at night. Few more hours of heat...

Me and the kids dropped off some Stampin' Up! orders off at the Park District, then to the bank, and to Taco Bell for some cheese wraps, and Volcano tacos! Yummy!

I took two garbage bags and filled them up with all the clothes on Mia's floor (she pulled them ALL out of the drawers. I need to seriously go through what fits, what doesn't. Then what to keep as a memory in her baby box...

Still doing laundry, still need to clean the art room for Wednesdays class, and work on the class project itself! Mow the lawn, that probably won't happen till Tuesday. Good god you won't be able to see the house after this weekend! Kinda has that cute abandoned look again.

But mowing the lawn with require, weeding, culling plants for the winter, moving the dirt piles from the back to the front for the new garden... and probably messing with the fall decorations...

Alright, nuff procrastinating... gatta go...

Maniac Monday on Tuesday

If you could take more control of one aspect of your life, what would it be?
The housework. It drives me nuts. It's so hard trying to catch up. Once one room is cleaned up then the one I just cleaned seems to be a mess. I really wish we could catch up on the house, and just get into a good routine of picking up after ourselves.

If you were to name the difference between the male soul and the female soul, what would it be?

In one word? Emotion. Not saying that Men don't have emotion. But they seem to have a hard time showing it. Not saying that men should go around as emotional as us women, there is more then enough of us mood swinging freaks out there. But I think there would be less divorce and counseling if men would actually say what they are thinking, or feeling.

The few times I can pry Ed's feelings out of him, I love it. I love to know that most of the time we are on the same page, but since he doesn't say anything with out me prying. You just don't know.

I am one of those people that will pry and ask how he feels about a certain situation. Not all women do this. I might be rambling more then need be for this question.

But since I am huge on my emotions, I wish he would be too. I don't mind if you cry, shit, I do it all the time. It doesn't show weakness, to me it shows you have a heartbeat, and your not a badass wanna be. I want someone to show me he cares, and for gods sake talk to me about the things on your mind.

If men could express there emotions more, I think maybe women wouldn't be so emotional, trying to read men.

If you had to admit the most selfish thing you do on a regular basis, what would you say it is?
Blogging. No need to think about it. I blog to survive. I love it. It get's me through a rough day, a boring day, or just to much in my head. Blogging is also (thanks Jayme!) a great way to leave your legacy to your kids and family.

Hope you all enjoyed the Maniac Monday questions. If you want to play along, post the questions on your site with your amazing answers, and leave me a comment and let me know you played. And you have to go check out the Maniac Monday site, and you should leave them your name and a link too! I have met some fun new people that way! Happy Maniac Monday on Tuesday!
